WASHINGTON – U.S. Congressman Sam Graves made the following statement after voting to protect our veterans from damaging effects of the President's healthcare law.

"I am proud that the House to action took allow more of our small businesses to hire our returning heroes," said Rep. Graves. "Under Obamacare, small businesses are penalized for hiring more than 50 employees at full-time hours. This legislation exempts our veterans from this provision," he continued.

Tuesday, January 6, marks the beginning of the 114th session of Congress. It is imperative that we hit the ground running and move to pass pro-growth legislation that gives small businesses the needed resources to create good paying jobs for hardworking Americans.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Congressman Sam Graves made the following statement after voting for H.R. 5759, the Executive Amnesty Prevention Act. This legislation upholds that, except within strict constitutional limits, the President does not have the authority to exempt or defer removal of persons unlawfully present in the United States.
