President Obama famously said in 2016 that President Trump would need a "magic wand" to get the economy to do what he was promising. It turns out he didn't need a wand; just sensible economic policies that needed to be put in place.
I was proud to support common-sense economic policies like the tax cuts which greatly benefitted the middle class and our small businesses. On top of that, we've gotten rid of numerous regulations that were crushing our economy with help from the President whose administration is doing the same at the agency level.

President Trump has made it no secret that he isn't a fan of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and other trade deals he considers unfair to the United States.
I agree with the President that we need to have fair trade deals that are beneficial to our country. According to the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, the U.S. goods and services trade deficit with Mexico alone was $63.6 billion in 2017. That's unacceptable.

Washington, DC – Today, U.S. Rep. Sam Graves, (MO06), helped pass the Water Resources Development Act of 2018 (WRDA) which was included as part of S. 3021, America's Water Infrastructure Act. Graves made the following statement after passage of the bipartisan bill:
Kirksville, MO – North Missouri Congressman Sam Graves, (MO-06), toured the KraftHeinz Company operations in Kirksville on Thursday. Graves met with plant managers as well as K-REDI Executive Director Carolyn Chrisman and learned about the plant's history and expansion. He also toured the bologna cooking line, one of the new lines that the plant added during their expansion.
Palmyra, MO –Congressman Sam Graves (MO-06) visited Doyle Equipment Manufacturing in Palmyra on Thursday to get a first-hand look at their operations and discuss challenges the company faces including attracting a skilled workforce.
"Doyle has an incredible facility and I'm thrilled that they continue to expand in Northeast Missouri," said Rep. Graves. "The fertilizer equipment they produce is critical for the agriculture industry and their continued success is important for the economy of the Northeast region."
St. Joseph, MO – On Wednesday, North Missouri Congressman Sam Graves, (MO-06), toured the Second Harvest Community Food Bank in St. Joseph.
"Second Harvest does incredible work in St. Joe and the surrounding areas," said Graves. "They are a vital asset to Northwest Missouri, serving the needs of thousands of people each month. I appreciated them showing me their operations and the opportunity to help them pack food."
Second Harvest Community Food serves 54,000 people living in 19 counties across both Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas.
