Straight Talk with Sam

Dear Friend,

It's been a busy August recess in North Missouri. I had the opportunity to visit with many of you and tour some incredible businesses and organizations in the 6th District.

Second Harvest Community Food Bank

Second Harvest does tremendous work making sure that people are fed in Northwest Missouri.

Specialty Industries

For more than 50 years, Specialty Industries has been providing disabled adults with meaningful employment.

Field Day

It's important to me to hear from you. Farmers in Northeast Missouri at the Sharpe Seeds Field Day had lots of important questions and feedback.

Doyle Equipment Manufacturing

Doyle Manufacturing in Palmyra has been making dry fertilizer blending, conveying, tending, and spreading equipment since 1961. They continue to expand their operations in Northeast Missouri and I appreciated the Doyle family showing me their facility.

KraftHeinz

The KraftHeinz plant in Kirksville is known as the "cold cut Capitol." They produce all of the Oscar Meyer bologna that you see on the store shelves and in your fridge along with several other varieties of lunch meat.

Adair-Schuyler County Farm Bureau

It was an honor to speak with the members of the Adair-Schuyler County Farm Bureau during their Annual Meeting in Queen City.

South Liberty Parkway Extension Project

Transportation improvements are always a welcome sight. Team members with Emery Sapp and Sons Construction took time to show me the progress on the South Liberty Parkway.

There's a lot of ground to cover in the 6th District but, as always, it was a pleasure to catch up with so many of you and see so many great things that are produced right here in North Missouri!

Sincerely,
