I got word late last week that the Biden Administration was trying to force layoffs at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant again. They already tried to cut funding for the plant. This time, they were trying to ban the sale of some surplus ammunition made there.

Nancy Pelosi and her liberal pals voted against banning the EPA from regulating livestock “emissions.” Yes, you read that right. They voted against stopping the EPA from making rules to limit burps and farts from cattle and hogs.

Back in 2019, when the Green New Deal first came out, everyone called me crazy for sounding the alarm that some leftwing extremists in Washington wanted to get rid of airplanes and farting cows. It sounded far-fetched at the time, but now it’s the road they’re all marching down.

When President Biden took office, the average price for a gallon of gas in this country was $2.38. It's $4.98 now. Gas is expected to top $6 per gallon by August.

Inflation was under 2 percent when President Biden walked into the Oval Office. Now, it's over 8 percent. The Administration told us repeatedly last month that the worst was over and rising prices had "peaked." That was a lie. Inflation just hit 8.6 percent—the highest it's been in a generation.

Memorial Day isn’t just another holiday. It’s not about pools opening or backyard bar-b-ques. Memorial Day is a solemn, somber holiday for remembering and honoring those that made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of this country and our freedom.

The day has passed, but it doesn’t mean it’s time to move on and forget about the incredible sacrifices so many service members have made for us. That’s something we should strive to do every day.

In that spirit, I want to tell a small part of the story of one young man recently laid to rest in North Missouri.

Thank you.  Your information has been submitted.
