Graves Announces Winners of 2022 6th Congressional District Art Competition
Kansas City, MO – Congressman Sam Graves (MO-06) has announced the winners of the annual 6th Congressional District Art Competition.
The following works were selected for awards:
- 1st Place: Maegan Ericksen, Underwater Scape, Liberty HS
- 2nd Place: Sam Brusven, The Complex, Liberty HS
- 3rd Place: Addison Brooks, Fire Portrait, Platte County HS
“North Missouri is full of talented young artists. Once again, they’ve created some impressive artwork and I’m happy that we can showcase it,” Graves said.
“Thanks to everyone who participated and congratulations to our winners.”
High school students from across North Missouri submitted artwork for this years’ competition. The artwork was judged by Northwest Missouri State University’s Art Department. The first place artwork will be displayed in the Cannon Tunnel in the US Capitol complex. 2nd and 3rd place artwork will be displayed in Graves’ Kansas City District Office.
