(Washington) U.S. Congressman Sam Graves co-sponsored a bill approved by Congress on Wednesday that makes the Liberty Memorial the National World War I Museum and Memorial. H.R. 6364, The Frank Buckles World War I Memorial Act, also establishes a commission to guide the upcoming centennial of the war and its end.

(Liberty, MO) U.S. Congressman Sam Graves today announced he has nominated several Sixth District students to the United States Service Academies.

Each year members of Congress are responsible for selecting very highly qualified students to attend one of our nation's five prestigious military academies. Graves said many very qualified students applied for a nomination through his office this year.

WASHINGTON, D.C. –U.S. Congressman Sam Graves inserted several provisions into the Federal Aviation Administration Reform Bill that is headed for the President's desk. Graves was able to secure language for several aviation priorities.

"It was a big win for general aviation to keep user fees out of this bill," said Graves. "We are going to have to be vigilant and be prepared to educate members on why user fees are a bad idea."

(Washington, D.C) U.S. Congressman Sam Graves was named to the House-Senate Conference Committee on H.R. 658, the Federal Aviation Administration reauthorization bill. The Committee will negotiate the final version of the bill putting Graves in an influential position for Missouri's aviation interests. Graves serves on the Aviation subcommittee of the Transportation Committee and is the only Missouri member on the Conference Committee.

WASHINGTON, D.C. –U.S. Rep. Sam Graves and U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-9) led a successful effort to get language clarifying congressional intent regarding the Agriculture Hours-of-Service (AgHOS) regulations written into the Highway Bill.

The language would clarify that Agriculture Hours of Service exemptions apply to all movements of critical farm supplies: from source to retail, source to farm and retail to farm. The exemption is limited to within a 150 air mile radius from the source of the commodities or the distribution point for the farm supplies.
