WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Sam Graves will recognize Army Veteran Donald Wheeler's service to our country in a medal ceremony this Friday morning.

Donald Wheeler served in the U.S. Army from April 1967 through November 1969. The sudden death of his grandfather led to his expedited release from the Army and prevented Mr. Wheeler from receiving the medals he had earned for his heroic service to our nation. On Friday, Mr. Wheeler will be recognized with presentation of the following medals:

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Sam Graves released the following statement after President Obama vetoed legislation that would allow for construction of the Keystone Pipeline, which overwhelmingly passed the House and Senate with strong bipartisan support in recent weeks.
"Today, President Obama vetoed as many as 42,000 American jobs," said Rep. Graves. "It is disappointing, but not surprising that he has once again ignored the will of the people," he continued.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Sam Graves released the following statement after the House passed the Keystone XL Pipeline Approval Act. The bill will now go to the President for approval.

"After six years of Senate inaction and delays from this Administration, legislation to begin construction on the Keystone XL Pipeline will finally be sent to the President's desk for signature," said Rep. Graves. "President Obama must stop playing politics with our nation's energy policy and sign this bipartisan bill into law immediately."
