With North Missourians still recovering from historic flooding, these important bills could not come at a better time.

The House approved the DISASTER Act and the Post-Disaster Assistance Online Accountability Act.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.), a member of the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee, and U.S. Representative Sam Graves (Mo.), Ranking Member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, along with U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (Mo.), and U.S. Representative Vicky Hartzler (Mo.), announced that the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will receive an $81.2 million Infrastructure For Rebuilding America (INFRA) grant from the Department of Transportation (DOT) to replace the Rocheport Bridge.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Sam Graves (MO-06) today introduced legislation to help Missouri communities recover from this year's devastating floods and better prepare for future floods.

The bill, the "Resilient Communities Act of 2019" (H.R. 3531), allows the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to provide Missouri and other states resources to set up a fund for mitigation projects that reduce disaster risks.

Today, the entire Missouri congressional delegation, including U.S. Senators Roy Blunt and Josh Hawley, and U.S. Representatives Blaine Luetkemeyer, Sam Graves, Emanuel Cleaver, II, Vicky Hartzler, Ann Wagner, Wm. Lacy Clay, Billy Long, and Jason Smith sent a letter urging President Trump to support Acting Governor Mike Kehoe's disaster declaration request for the counties affected by recent tornadoes, high winds, flooding, and flash flooding. The disaster declaration is a necessary step in order for these counties to access critically important federal resources for recovery efforts.

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Representative Sam Graves (MO-06) applauded the United States Department of Agriculture's announcement today that they are proposing a relocation of the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) and the Economic Research Service (ERS) from Washington, D.C. to Kansas City.

Graves advocated strongly for the move to Kansas City after it was announced that USDA was searching for a new location for the agencies.

WASHINGTON D.C. — Today, President Donald Trump approved a major disaster declaration for Atchison, Holt, Andrew, Buchanan, Platte, Carroll and Chariton counties in the 6th Congressional District to aid in flood recovery efforts. The approval is for public assistance, which will help with emergency work and the repair or replacement of disaster-damaged facilities. A request for individual assistance is still under review.
