Bidenomics isn’t working. When President Biden took office, the average price for a gallon of gas in this country was $2.38. Today, a gallon of gas will set you back $3.85 in some places.
A dollar here and a dollar there might not seem like much to the President, but those dollars add up—fast. That 62 percent increase in gas prices means instead of paying $38, families are now shelling out almost $60 to fill up a 16-gallon tank. If you drive a truck, that cost has gone from a little over $50 to nearly $90 a tank.
Archery, shooting sports, and hunter education courses are becoming more and more popular in schools across the country. Students are getting an education in safety and opportunities that they may not get otherwise. Sadly, that is all under attack.
More than 1.3 million students participate in the National Archery in Schools Program, which covers more than 9,000 schools in 49 states. According to the Hunter Education Association, another 500,000 students participate in hunter education courses.
It’s hard to believe, but school is right around the corner. A staple of school lunches for years could go away if Washington bureaucrats get the final word. Remember looking forward to that delicious half pint of chocolate milk nestled nicely in its designated square on your tray? Gone, if the Administration gets their way.
Government waste. It’s not hard to find if you just look.
According to a report just released by the Government Accountability Office (GAO), 17 federal agencies are currently using "25 percent or less of their headquarters buildings' capacity." That's right, over three-quarters of this office space is just sitting empty. At some agencies, usage rates are as low as nine percent.
These last few months have been dry—too dry. While the rain we did receive recently in parts of North Missouri was welcome, although not with the accompanying storms, it certainly wasn’t enough. The corn crop is withering away in the fields, pastures are picked clean, and farmers are already scrambling to find hay to feed their herds.
On July 4th, 1776, the Second Continental Congress ratified the Declaration of Independence and changed the course of history forever.
The right to keep and bear arms is one of our most sacred, God-given rights. It's so foundational to our republic, that our founding fathers sought to protect it in the second amendment to our Constitution. Despite this, the Left has been looking for every avenue to chip away at this right, and many others for that matter, for years.
Look no further than the endless rules, executive orders, and laws that they've rammed through to erode our 2nd Amendment rights. Each little chip adds up, and before you know it, your rights are gone.
Today, as Chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, I introduced the bipartisan Securing Growth and Robust Leadership in American Aviation Act, which reauthorizes the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and aviation infrastructure programs for the next five years.
Our country is barreling down the tracks in the wrong direction. Record spending by the Biden Administration over the last two years has fueled record inflation, rising prices at the gas pump, grocery store, and just about everywhere else. American families who were already struggling to get by are now barely treading water.
In a huge win for farmers, ranchers, small business owners, and families—the Supreme Court delivered a historic opinion today dramatically reining in the EPA’s authority to regulate our land.
The ruling strikes down the kind of overly broad interpretation of “waters of the United States” (WOTUS) adopted by the Biden and Obama Administrations that threatened to subject virtually every square inch of American farmland to EPA regulation.
