Just a few months ago, I wrote about how eliminating the stepped-up basis would devastate family farms. Long story short, it would slam the next generation of farmers with a massive tax bill when their parents pass away, and they inherit the family farm.

Each year, my colleagues and I in the House of Representatives participate in a nation-wide high school arts competition sponsored by the Congressional Institute.


As part of the annual appropriations process, the House Committee on Appropriations is accepting Community Funding Project Requests from House Members. All projects requested by Congressman Graves fall primarily within Missouri's 6th Congressional District. Below, you can find an explanation of each project, where it is located, and all relevant disclosure forms.

As a member of Congress, I have the ability to assist constituents who are left feeling frustrated and confused as a result of dealing with a federal agency. My district offices in Kansas City and Hannibal are available to answer questions and assist north Missourians with matters involving the federal government.

As a Member of Congress, I have the great privilege of recommending a select group of individuals for admission to the United States Service Academies each year.

To be eligible for appointment, you must be an American citizen; at least 17 years of age, and not more than 23 years of age on July 1st of the year you will enter the academy; not married; and a legal resident of the Sixth Congressional District of Missouri.
