Laddonia is just like a lot of towns in North Missouri. It's small with about 500 folks who call it home. It's your average, rural community that's had an unmatched love for family, God, and country since 1872. Unfortunately, like a lot of small towns, they've been handed a laundry-list of regulations to comply with, dreamed up by a bunch of bureaucrats in Washington.

Lacy Clay, Billy Long, and Jason Smith, sent a letter asking the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to identify what steps they've taken to fairly implement Section 1232 of the Disaster Recovery Reform Act of 2018 (DRRA) in light of recent disasters in Missouri, including flooding.
WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Representative Sam Graves (MO-06), has announced that the Kirksville Regional Airport will receive federal money through the Airport Improvement Program (AIP). Graves received notification from U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Elaine L. Chao that the Kirksville airport will be receiving $3.3 million through the program to rehabilitate both a runway and a taxiway.

Washington, DC – Today, North Missouri Congressman Sam Graves (MO-06), Ranking Member for the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, announced that the North Central Missouri Regional Water Commission in Sullivan County has received a Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (BUILD) Transportation Discretionary Grant, or BUILD grant.
The North Central Missouri Regional Water Commission will receive a nearly $13.5 million BUILD grant for the East Locust Creek Reservoir Project.

Some folks have said I sound a bit like a broken record—that all I ever talk about is flooding, flooding, flooding. There's some truth to that, as many parts of North Missouri have been underwater at one point in time or another this year. There are families in Northwest Missouri that haven't been able to return home for more than 7 months now. There is farmland in Northeast Missouri that's still underwater. Right now, there's nothing more important than helping these folks get back on their feet and helping protect our communities from future flooding.
