Introduces legislation to prevent new taxes and fees on law-abiding gun owners

Academy applications are being accepted through this fall. Students must be at least 17 years of age and no more than 23 as of July 1, 2014.

WASHINGTON, D.C.– U.S. Congressman Sam Graves (MO-06) today welcomed Jason Smith, the newly elected Congressman from Missouri's Eighth District, by introducing him to the full House of Representatives in a floor speech. Graves is the dean of Missouri's Republican House members. His remarks came moments after Congressman Smith was sworn in by House Speaker John Boehner.

With Graves' support, the House passed the Smarter Solutions for Students Act (H.R. 1911), which would move all Federal student loans, minus Perkins loans, to a market-based interest rate.
