Sam Graves Votes To Rein In Burdensome Regulations

January 13, 2015

WASHINGTON – Representative Sam Graves released the following statement after voting in favor of the bipartisan Regulatory Accountability Act, which brings much needed accountability to the Federal rulemaking process and requires agencies to consider the economic impact of proposed rules.

"The House has once again acted on behalf of small businesses and all hardworking Americans by voting to rein in President Obama's out of control regulatory agenda," said Rep. Graves. "This bill will put a stop to more of the same outrageous regulations we've seen from elites in Washington, such as the EPA's ridiculous push to control our farms by regulating dust and ponds," Graves continued.

"I am confident that the Senate will act to pass this common sense legislation and urge President Obama to join us in supporting small businesses and job creators, not unaccountable bureaucrats in Washington."
