Sam Graves Statement on President's Veto of Bipartisan Keystone Pipeline Bill

February 24, 2015
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Sam Graves released the following statement after President Obama vetoed legislation that would allow for construction of the Keystone Pipeline, which overwhelmingly passed the House and Senate with strong bipartisan support in recent weeks.
"Today, President Obama vetoed as many as 42,000 American jobs," said Rep. Graves. "It is disappointing, but not surprising that he has once again ignored the will of the people," he continued. "This President has chosen time and again to place the agenda of liberal special interests ahead of the needs of hardworking Americans. It's time for President Obama to stop playing politics with our energy policy and work with us on behalf of the American people."
