Sam Graves Statement Following Small Business Listening Session
WASHINGTON – U.S. Congressman Sam Graves, House Small Business Committee Chairman, made the following statement after holding a small business listening session at Miller's Custom Cabinets in Excelsior Springs, MO. This was another in a series of meetings that Rep. Graves has held with small business owners and their employees across the 6th District.
"I would like to thank everyone at Miller's Custom Cabinets for participating in our small business listening session," Rep. Graves said. "Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, creating 7 out of every 10 new jobs," he continued.
"I have always said, government doesn't create jobs. What government can do is enact policies that set the table for economic growth and provide certainty to small businesses like Miller's Custom Cabinets. Whether it is addressing rising energy costs, simplifying the tax code, or removing burdensome regulations – we must implement common sense solutions that allow small businesses to grow and create jobs."
