Local entrepreneur discusses impact of startups on economy
WASHINGTON, D.C.– Congressman Sam Graves (MO-06), Chairman of the House Small Business Committee, today welcomed Parkville, MO resident Adam Arredondo to testify before the panel at a hearing titled The Startup Movement. Arredondo is the Co-Leader of the Kansas City Startup Village in Kansas City, KS, and the CEO and Founder of Hoopla.io, which was recognized by Turnstone as one of the 15 Best Young Companies to work for.
"I was pleased to invite Adam to testify at today's hearing," said Congressman Graves. "Adam is a successful, innovative young entrepreneur full of promising ideas. Our entire committee appreciated hearing his insightful remarks regarding how to best equip startups for success."
"All startups are small businesses, but not all small businesses are startups," said Arredondo. "I thank Congressman Graves for his invitation to tell the Kansas City Startup Village story to Congress in hopes that it will help provide lessons into how best to tailor policy that allows startups to grow and succeed."
