Unaffordable
Straight Talk with Sam
Over the last four years, things have spiraled out of control. Look no further than the grocery store. I’ve heard from folks who didn’t used to worry about the cost of groceries, but suddenly, they’re having to think twice about what they put in the cart.
Compared to 2021, Americans are now spending $1,095 more every month just on the necessities. The cost of gas, groceries, and everything else has gone through the roof. Meanwhile, paychecks aren’t keeping up with inflation. In fact, real wages are lower now than they were 3 years ago.
No matter how hard we work these days, it just seems impossible to get ahead even get by. That’s left a lot of folks asking, “what happened?”
The simple answer is that out-of-control spending causes inflation, and we’ve seen a whole lot of that under the Biden-Harris Administration. Their myriad of spending bills with catchy titles like the Inflation Reduction Act have done almost nothing to rescue America. These bills have, however, shoveled trillions of taxpayer dollars out the door to pay for lots of Green New Deal nonsense like more electric vehicle chargers and more green energy subsidies.
We were told middle class Americans wouldn’t have to pay the bill for this garbage, but that was a lie. American families are paying through the nose with all the inflation these reckless spending bills have led to.
Nobody’s pining away for an EV charger; folks just want to be able to fill a grocery cart and feed their families without draining their life savings.
This can be fixed, but the only way we’re going to get our economy back on track is to bring back common sense. We have to cut the wasteful government spending that’s driving inflation, get rid of burdensome regulations holding back businesses and workers who are trying to grow our economy, and stop job killing taxes. It’s not rocket science; it’s just common sense and it works.
Sincerely,
Sam Graves
