A Vote for Repeal
It's become a common sight now in most televised sporting events. In football, the referee goes into a booth to review the previous play. In basketball, an official may need to review the play on a television set to see if a shot went in before the buzzer.
The reason we need instant replay is because humans make mistakes. The replay allows a play to be slowed down so the referee can make the correct call.
This week, the House of Representatives is going to take a second look at the healthcare law that was passed last year. A lot has happened since it was passed. For starters, Americans have found out what was in the bill. They have also found out how much it will cost and what it will mean for their family.
Many Members of Congress now believe that passing that bill was a mistake. I expect there will be bi-partisan support to repeal the bill that was passed last March.
I will vote to repeal the bill for many of the same reasons I voted against it in the first place. This bill places unconstitutional mandates on Americans and will result in a bigger government, but not better care.
Congress can pass a better bill that would increase access and lower costs for all Americans without piling more unsustainable debt on future generations. I look forward to Congress finally making the correct call on this piece of legislation.
Sincerely,
