One of the best parts about my job is I am able to help people who are having problems dealing with the federal government. As many of you have discovered, it can be frustrating dealing with a federal agency. Sometimes it seems as if you are the only one who is interested in getting your problem resolved.

My office has helped thousands of constituents who are dealing with problems ranging from Social Security to the Veteran's Administration. We can help with a range of issues including passports or visas that need to be expedited. If we cannot help you, we will direct you to the appropriate government agency or charitable organization. We will do our best to help you get your issue with the federal government solved.

While I cannot make decisions for government agencies, my office can act as a liaison between you and a federal agency. We can direct you to the appropriate federal agency, see that your situation gets prompt and fair consideration, check on the status of your claim or appeal, and provide you with public information and telephone numbers.

I know that dealing with the federal government is often a difficult process. I am determined to help you in any way I can to make that process less burdensome. If you have a problem with a federal agency, please contact one of my district offices in Kansas City, St. Joseph, or my new Hannibal office, which opened recently. You can find contact information at the bottom of this newsletter, or on my website, graves.house.gov. Or stop by one of my Mobile Office hours, where you can meet directly with a member of my staff. I will do my best to make sure that the federal government is paying attention to you and working to solve your problem.
