Washington, D.C. – Congressman Sam Graves (MO-06) released the following statement after signing the discharge petition calling for consideration of legislation to extend the Paycheck Protection Program through the end of the year.

WASHINGTON – Yesterday, U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.) and U.S. Representative Sam Graves (Mo.) led a letter urging the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to provide additional funding for projects that will improve safety and navigation on the Lower Missouri River. The letter was cosigned by U.S. Senators Chuck Grassley (Iowa), Josh Hawley (Mo.), Deb Fischer (Neb.), and Jerry Moran (Kan.), along with U.S. Representatives Blaine Luetkemeyer (Mo.), Vicky Hartzler (Mo.), Jason Smith (Mo.), and Ann Wagner (Mo.).

Washington, DC –  Today, North Missouri Congressman Sam Graves (MO-06), Ranking Member for the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, announced that Kansas City has received two Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (BUILD) Transportation Discretionary Grants, or BUILD grants.

The City of Kansas City will receive a $640,000 BUILD planning grant for a Corridor Study of I-29/I-35.

The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority will receive a $14.2 million BUILD grant for the Kansas City Streetcar Riverfront Extension.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Sam Graves (MO-06), Ranking Member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, today applauded the announcement of several CARES Act Recovery Assistance grants from the Economic Development Administration (EDA) to Councils of Government and Regional Planning Commissions across North Missouri. The $400,000 grants will enable them to assist businesses, local governments and community partners as they recover and rebuild economically from the COVID-19 pandemic.
