Graves visits Doyle Manufacturing in Palmyra

Press Release

Palmyra, MO –Congressman Sam Graves (MO-06) visited Doyle Equipment Manufacturing in Palmyra on Thursday to get a first-hand look at their operations and discuss challenges the company faces including attracting a skilled workforce.

“Doyle has an incredible facility and I’m thrilled that they continue to expand in Northeast Missouri,” said Rep. Graves. “The fertilizer equipment they produce is critical for the agriculture industry and their continued success is important for the economy of the Northeast region.”

“Their efforts to attract a skilled workforce are just another reminder that we’ve got to make sure technical education is viewed as a viable option for those considering post-secondary education. I hear it at just about every manufacturer I visit in North Missouri.”

Doyle Manufacturing President Monty Doyle and Director of HR Catie Doyle showed Graves the facility.

“The Doyle family was thrilled to host Congressman Graves’ visit to Doyle Equipment Manufacturing. It was a great opportunity to show him our facility as we expand in Northeast Missouri as well as discuss our workforce issues with him,” said Catie Doyle.

Congress recently passed the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act which was supported by Rep. Graves and signed by President Trump in July. The bill places an emphasis on vocational training in rural areas and gives states more oversight and the ability to pass along funds to the local communities for career and technical education.
