Visit D.C.

Visiting Washington, DC is an exciting and educational experience. My door is always open to you, so please don't hesitate to stop by my office to visit with me and my staff. In addition, my staff can serve as a resource to you in booking tours for your trip. Please fill out our online tour request form or contact my office at (202) 225-7041. Below is information about two of the most popular tours, as well as a helpful link to information about other popular tourist sites in Washington.

The United States Capitol

General admission tickets for the United States Capitol are available Monday through Saturday on a first come first serve basis, so arrive early.  Tickets are distributed beginning at 8:00 am, and tours are conducted from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Congressional staff led tours are also available daily. Please contact my office at (202) 225-7041 for information on tour times and to reserve your spot.

The White House

As you may know, the White House has announced that, effective Saturday, March 9, 2013, all White House tours have been canceled indefinitely.  If you had a White House tour scheduled, I apologize for the inconvenience.  Washington, DC is home to a number of other wonderful historic landmarks, including the Capitol, and I encourage you to include those buildings and museums in your itinerary.  My staff will update this webpage with new information related to the status of White House tours as it becomes available.

Scheduling a Tour

Please fill out my Tour Request Form to let my staff know when you will be in DC and which tours you would like my assistance in scheduling.  As always, feel free to call my office at (202) 225-7041 with any questions or to schedule a tour over the phone.
